Dr. Tehrany at Sundance 2016 as an executive producer of “The Birth of a Nation”

Dr.Armin Tehrany, one of the executive producers of “The Birth of a Nation”, poses with his wife Valery Laury on the red carpet at the premiere of the movie in Los Angeles. The event took place on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at the Cinema Dome in Hollywood.

The red carpet featured not only the actors and the complete cast of the movie but many celebrities and renowned names from the movie industry as well. The movie will hit the theaters later this year, on October 7th –  Dr. Armin Tehrany, one of the executive producers of “The Birth of a Nation”..

Dr. Armin Tehrany and Nate Parker   “The Birth of a Nation” centers on the story of Nat Turner, a slave in America who led a violent liberation movement in 1831 to free enslaved African Americans in Virginia. The trailer gives us just a hint of the horrors that Nat Turner experienced in his fight for freedom.

Update: January 31, 2016: “The Birth of a Nation” swept the top prizes at the Sundance Film Festival 2016! “The Birth of a Nation” won the top Sundance Awards: Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Awards for drama.
