“I had right knee surgery after years of pain. Dr. Tehrany and his team have been great. – Randy Orndorf “
Arthroscopic Chondroplasty, also known as Knee Chondroplasty, is an outpatient procedure used to smooth a damaged area in the cartilage. The goal of this outpatient procedure is to reduce roughness in the knee joint and to allow pain-free knee movements.
The cartilage, a smooth tissue that surrounds the knee joint and enables it to move without friction, bears an immense pressure due to the constant movement of the knee joint. For that reason, the knee cartilage is extremely vulnerable and prone to injuries such as cartilage tears. However, a trauma to the knee and degenerative conditions can also impact the health of the cartilage and cause it to become rough.
In many patients, the pain associated with the cartilage tear can be experienced for a long time. Randy, who has been treated with a knee chondroplasty by Dr. Armin Tehrany, had been struggling with a troubling knee pain for many years before he visited Manhattan Orthopedic Care.
Once he was thoroughly examined by our knee specialist, Dr. Armin Tehrany, he was scheduled for the procedure in no time. The recovery period following the procedure was remarkably fast and successful, and Randy felt an immediate relief in his knee.
The arthroscopic chondroplasty is a minimally invasive procedure with a minimal risk for complications, minimal, almost invisible scarring, and little pain, however, going under the surgical procedure of any kind can be immensely stressful for patients. Therefore, we always strive to provide a comfortable, pleasant and peaceful environment for our patients prior, during, and after their surgical treatment.
Grateful that Randy trusted us with his health, we ensured him that he and his shoulder were in the hands of an awarded orthopedic professional with a remarkable experience and profound orthopedic knowledge.
As a result of the successful treatment, Randy expressed his gratitude with a short, yet candid review on Healthgrades, and we couldn’t be more proud.
